Single Father/Mother
Deepinder is a young boy who has lived with his mother in her maternal home for 11 years. She left her in-laws’ house just three months after marriage due to abuse from her alcoholic husband. Despite the court ordering Deepinder’s father to pay $65 a month in child support, he only provides half. Deepinder and his mother live with his maternal uncle, a laborer, and his aunt, a school helper. Deepinder loves mangoes, enjoys reading, and deeply admires his mother. His favorite color is black.
