Single Father/Mother
After losing his father at just three months old, Gurnoor has been raised by his mother in her maternal home. Life hasn’t been easy—his mother earns only $45 a month working at a garment shop, with no support from her in-laws. Gurnoor shares a close bond with his elderly grandfather, who still works as a laborer. He finds joy in small things: watching cartoons, eating dal, and spending time with family. A bright, cheerful boy, Gurnoor dreams of visiting Canada one day.
