Karanveer’s father works at a woodshop, earning about $118 a month, while his mother picks up daily wage jobs in vegetable harvesting when work is available, making just $2–$3 a day. The family lives in a joint household, sharing a single room that doubles as their kitchen. Their bathroom is shared, and the roof above is made of metal beams and wooden planks.
