My Story

Gurleen Kaur is being raised by her grandparents, who care for her and her siblings while struggling with serious health issues and heavy debt. Her father passed away after years of addiction, and her mother left the family, leaving the children entirely in their grandparents’ hands. With no steady income beyond small pensions and leased land, the family survives with great difficulty. Even so, Gurleen Kaur studies with determination, dreaming of becoming an advocate.
