Gurnoor Kaur hails from a family rooted in courage and sacrifice. Her grandfather attained shaheedi in 1991, during the struggle period of Punjab in the ‘90s. This impacted the entire family, leaving them without a breadwinner. Years later, Gurnoor lost her father at a young age. Now, her mother and grandmother work as Anganwadi workers and bring in a scanty income together, which is barely enough to meet the basic needs.
