Punjab We mostly deal with single mothers, farmer suicide families and other under privileged children with various familial situations.
Kamaljit Singh lives in Patiala with his family. His favourite colour is blue and when he grows up, he wants to be a police officer. Kamaljit’s father used to sell flowers in the city, but he suffered two heart attacks in June of 2016. Then, in October of the same year, he had a stroke, but he could not afford treatment as Kamaljit’s family had already spent all of their money on the previous hospital bills from June. His neighbours were able to collect a little money for Kamaljit’s father last year and get him some help, but now he is bedridden with no medical aid. Kamaljit’s family also has a 500,000 rupee loan from the bank from a few years ago when their house was seriously damaged and no longer safe to live in. Kamaljit’s family is worried and beginning to feel hopeless.
