Meet Sehajpreet who loves pizza, playing hide-and-seek, and adores her maternal uncle. Pink is her favorite color. Her father supports seven family members, including his brother’s family. He works as a daily wage carpenter, earning $9 a day but often finds work only 10–12 days each month. To make ends meet, the family sells milk and takes on farm labor when they can. They own just 2 Kanal of land, mostly used to grow cattle feed. Their home, which has two rooms and a kitchen with tin and wooden roofs, is in desperate need of repair.
