Sukhman Singh is 4 years old and lives in the Tarn Taran district of Punjab with his family in a small 2 bedroom home. His favourite colour is pink and he loves to eat grapes. His father is a school bus driver and earns about 3700 rupees per month. He owns 2 cows and 1 acre of land that unfortunately stays wet, hence he is not able to make an income off of it, because the crops will not sustain due to the nature of the land. He manages to grow only 1 crop per year from which he earns 27,000 rupees per year.
Your sponsorship is an important and continuing part of the assistance given to help this impressionable young boy and his family attain self-reliance, for this is the development in which SAF INTERNATIONAL is involved. Nelson Mandela famously said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. And who has the power to change the world? It's the children of today, who are the adults of tomorrow.
