My Story

Gurveer Kaur is a young girl full of potential!  Her father works for an electrical company, although the work is slow he manages to bring in roughly $140 CAD per month.  Gurveer’s mother works as a cleaner in someone’s home, and they give her wheat kernels as payment.  Gurveer has 2 other sisters, and also lives with her grandparents.  A while back, the family’s house fell apart, and the villagers banded together to try and help them rebuild it.  They are eternally grateful to have a roof over their heads, but unfortunately the work was not fully completed.   They do not have proper doors and windows, and instead have to use sheets as window and door coverings.  If you choose to sponsor Gurveer today, SAF International will ensure that her education is paid for.  Gurveer will have a chance at changing her own future and perhaps that of her family.  Without our sponsors, SAF International would not have the ability to aid familes like Gurveer’s.
