DISCOVER OUR WORKHow Gifts of Compassion Works
Step 1
Choose your gift
Browse Gifts of Compassion by category and choose a gift that reflects the kind of change you want to help create.
Step 2
We put it into action
SAF's teams identify where that type of support can create meaningful impact and deliver it through our work across South Asia.
Prefer to Give Where It's Needed Most?
Make a flexible one-time donation and help SAF respond to the most important needs across our education, humanitarian, and community-development work.
More Than a Gift
Gifts of Compassion turn your generosity into practical support for communities across South Asia. Each gift represents an area where SAF is actively creating change, and our teams direct that support where it can be used meaningfully within that area of work.

Common Questions VIEW ALL FAQS >
1. Will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?
Yes. Eligible Canadian donations are automatically issued an emailed tax receipt.
2. Can I choose the specific person or family who receives my gift?
Gifts are directed by SAF's teams based on current needs within the communities we serve. This allows support to be delivered where that type of gift can make a meaningful difference. If you are looking to purchase something specifically for your sponsored child, you can use the birthday gift option instead.
3. Will I receive individual photos or updates showing my exact gift?
Because Gifts of Compassion are delivered across many communities, SAF cannot provide individual photos or updates for each purchase. We share broader program updates so donors can see how Gifts of Compassion are contributing to our work.
Looking for Another Way to Give?
You can also build a lasting connection through child sponsorship or give SAF the flexibility to respond where the need is greatest.
