My Story

Meet Maninder, a young boy living with his mother and younger brother in his maternal grandparents’ home. After his father left for Qatar, he never returned, leaving the family burdened with a $3,250 loan in his mother’s name. Now, they struggle with this debt. Maninder’s mother, once a factory worker, is at home recovering from gallbladder surgery, which cost $650. His grandfather, once a laborer, can no longer work. Despite these challenges, Maninder looks up to his mother and dreams of becoming a businessman. His wishes are to study, buy a cycle, and attend a new school.
